    Stainless steel water tank After welding, there are different degrees of oxidation inside and outside the weld and near the weld, which is easy to cause corrosion of stainless steel water tank. In the process of stainless steel processing, black oxide scale is produced after rolling, bonding, welding or artificial surface heat treatment. The hard gray black oxide scale is mainly composed of nicr2o4 and NIF, two eo4 components. Previously, hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid were commonly used for strong corrosion removal. This method has the advantages of high cost, high pollution and high cost. Since oxidation can be seen in the discolored area, the corrosion rate is related to the thickness of the oxide layer. Compared with the oxide layer of stainless steel before welding, the oxide layer in the discolored area is thicker and the composition changes (Ni Cr reduction), which reduces the local corrosion resistance. Generally, when stainless steel water tank is used for domestic water tank, fire water tank, softened water tank and other purposes, it is not necessary to treat the weld.

 

Mechanical treatment: mechanical or non mechanical contamination of surfaces is usually used. Lubricating oil may cause organic pollutants. Contact with tools may result in inorganic contaminants such as foreign iron particles. In general, various surface contamination may lead to pitting corrosion. In addition, the external iron particle field may lead to electrochemical corrosion. Pitting corrosion and electrochemical corrosion are local corrosion, which need to be treated with water first. Therefore, surface contamination usually reduces the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. Surface treatment methods: in order to treat the surface, remove discoloration and restore corrosion resistance, there are many post-treatment methods and means. Here we should distinguish between chemical and mechanical methods.

Chemical method: pollution free pickling passivation paste and normal temperature cleaning solution containing inorganic additives were used. So as to achieve the purpose of whitening the natural color of stainless steel. After processing, it basically looks like a dull color. This method is suitable for large and complex products.

In industrial or other harsh conditions, after welding, pickling and grinding are often required to remove the oxide layer (coloring) and restore corrosion resistance. The common treatment methods are mainly divided into mechanical treatment and chemical treatment. In addition, there are mirror polishing and surface coloring.

Stainless steel has unique strength, high wear resistance, excellent corrosion resistance and not easy to rust.
